With over 17 years experience of providing expert legal advice and representation to individual Appellants and companies in relation to all aspects of UK immigration law Ms Hashmi has acquired the reputation of an expert in this area. She has extensive experience of advising and representing Appellants and the Secretary of State before the First Tier Tribunal, Upper Tribunal, Administrative Court and High Court.
Ms Hashmi undertakes instructions from professional clients as well as directly from lay clients in an effort to be as cost-effective as possible. Furthermore she undertakes instructions in publicly funded work and private work. Given the high stakes and the fact that immigration decisions can be life altering for individuals and families, she is passionate about immigration law and approaches every case with unwavering dedication and commitment. She is renowned for always going that extra mile for all clients in an effort to secure the best possible outcome.
Ms Hashmi’s experience includes, but is not limited to:
- representing applicants in Judicial Review applications before the Upper Tribunal and Administrative Court and various hearings before the High Court;
- emergency injunction applications in the High Court, where the removal of an Applicant is imminent;
- represent Appellants before the First Tier Tribunal in all types of appeals;
- dealing with appeals relating to the Points Based Schemes, where as a result of a Refusal the Appellant has no further leave including, Tier 1 (General; Tier 1 (Entrepreneur); Tier 2 (General), Tier 4 Student appeals.
- Asylum and human rights country guidance cases;
- Articles 3 and 8 ECHR medical cases;
- Spouses and family members under the UK Immigration Rules including adult dependant relative cases;
- Article 8 ECHR – the right to a private and family life;
- Children and their best interests under section 55 and sole responsibility cases;
